DETAILS:
RTX 30 series GPUs supply
can’t keep up with demands.
Well,
after a long-seen hype for the RTX 30 series which NVIDIA said performed better
than 2080 ti and will be available in a fraction of the cost, we have finally
seen the pre-order and early bird sales this week. While the 3080 certainly won
the 2080 ti in 500$ less Brand-New cost but the manufacturer’s claim came out
be true only in some scenarios and applications. But the claim was enough to make
the already hyped New Ampere architecture take out on Internet by storm. This
meant many people selling their used 2080 ti in seriously less price than its
initial cost for saving some money for 3080. Since anyone can get interested in
these once in a decade revolution in electronics people started planning the
most out of this. While many were seriously interested in buying the cards for
personal purpose, some others had different plans. This week saw that ugly side
of People, with the people buying as many 30 series GPUs to eventually sell in
them in insanely high value (Since all the manufactured cards were sold and
more were in the process of manufacture but will take some time). The profit
the people were taking were more than a thousand USD on many online selling
platforms which is insane.
Fun
Fact: But some people decided to take on those people themselves and created
bots that would bid on thousands of dollars creating delight on the Reseller’s
face only to make them find out that there is actually no person interested on
their Resell Prices but the bidder was only a bot.
Advice: Please
be patient enough for NVIDIA to manufacture more cards or even wait for AMD for
RDNA2 based cards and in no case buy the cards from the Profit driven
Resellers. If you don’t seriously need that card, don’t buy that at all because
the price of electronics will always decrease and you can buy them anytime
later.
First death from a
cyberattack
Though
the incident actually happened in September 9, the incident came to light on
September 18. A Ransomware attacker attacked Dusseldorf University Hospital’s
emergency care leading the female patient who was supposed to be in critical
care forced to shift to another hospital 30 km away. The death happened on the
way to the next hospital. The attack was the result of the vulnerability in
Citrix virtual private network software which was known since January, however
they reported the fixing was not that easy for the always-on operation
hospital. Though the ransomware has not been officially declared as the main
cause of the patient’s death, if it turns out to be, this will be the first
case of death due to a cyberattack and not the last if something is not done.
Though, this is not the first cyber attack case that threatened hospital or a
person’s life, it is the first to lead to the death.
Advice: Install
reliable software in organizations involving serious threat, and awareness
which is the method of eliminating evil should start from your side to anyone
you can teach, your child, parents, friends, relatives or even any listeners.
Nokia declared No. 1 in
Telecom software
Nokia
was ranked No.1 in Telecom Software once again (3rd time in a
row) with lead only to decrease and the gap come closer. The ranking was based
on a leading independent global research firm, Analysys Mason. Analysys Mason
reported the telecom software and services market grew in 2019 by 1% to $66.9
billion with Nokia’s share being nearly $4.5 billion.
Advice: Nothing.
Epic gives legendary
Watchdogs 2 and Football Manager 2020 free for this week.
This
is a big surprise Epic gave to the gaming community since the Remnant &
Troy’s giveaway. The Watchdogs 2 and Football Manager giveaway (along with
another indie game giveaway), to be claimed, needs an EPIC games account and
must be claimed before Upcoming Thursday, 24 of September. The games were major
hit during launch and even after that. Watchdogs 2 was previously given away by
Uplay (Ubisoft) just few weeks back during Ubisoft forward event. The games
will be free to keep forever once you keep it.
Advice: Claim
them, if you are a gamer or plan to be one. They are both great games.
Q\N of the week: Should you
choose PS5 or XBOX Series X?
IN
Short: Choose any console you want since there is very less difference.
However, if you don’t plan to play 4k 60 or 120 fps and are happy on 1440p
gaming, go Series S or if you need all high specs but don’t plan to play the
games only digitally (No Discs) then go for Driveless PS5 edition.
For
people who have enough time to view the article or want detail, No one outside
the firm’s staffs have actually tested so no practical results will be
provided. The data I will mention will totally rely on the data they provided
on the events and public QNs.
Features:
1.) Xbox
series X and PS5 both will launch at the price of $499, Xbox Series S will be
available for $299, and Driveless PS5 will be available for $399.
2.) Xbox
Series X claims to be 12 teraflops of power while PS5 claims to have 10.28
teraflops.
3.) PS5
claims to have highly optimized thermals and power efficiency which will lead
to less heating and eco friendliness than PS4 while there is no claim in this
sector from Xbox.
4.) Both of
them will have an NVMe SSD for very fast booting time. XBOX can also make use
of another NVMe SSD for using it as a secondary RAM for storing game states for
skipping the loading times while resuming the game and start from the pause
state.
5.) XBOX
design is slightly less convincing than PS5 but it’s a personal choice.
6.) XBOX
have claimed to support all previous gen games with and is also backward
compatible with all previous XBOX controllers and accessories. PS however lacks
in this sector with games up to PS4 and the one backward compatible in PS4 to
be working in PS5 and the PS4 accessories not backward compatible too. This
might be a deciding factor for the ones who already own a ton of expensive
accessories
7.) There
are many upgrades in PS5 controllers and Sound system while XBOX controllers
are not getting huge upgrade but Getting the Share feature, better design than
Xbox One and textured Bumpers and triggers.
8.) Microsoft
claim they will try their best to make next gen upgrades for existing games
free of cost though some might not end up the way. Though, PS has not said
anting I believe the games with free upgrade on one console will also be free
on the other.
9.) Both
consoles use new AMD Zen 2 CPU and customized RDNA2 GPU from AMD with great Ray
Tracing capabilities.
10.) Both games will support
4K 120 fps and 8k 60 fps with the new HDMI 2.1 while most games will still be
available in 4k 60 fps
11.) Finally, Some PS
exclusives for now include: God of War: Ragnarök, Astro’s Playroom, Demon’s
Souls, Destruction All Stars, Gran Turismo 7, Project Athia, Ratchet and Clank:
Rift Apart, Returnal and all other PS4 exclusives.
XBOX exclusives include: Halo Infinite, Scorn, The Medium and all previous Xbox
exclusives.
